This custom 7.5" IRIS was built by Tim Nist. The 85# model flew to 11,300' on an N2000! Sure wish I could have been there to see it.

Congratulations to John Kemker on the perfect launch and recovery of his MEGA-NUK at LDRS. The beautifully finished rocket weighed 40# loaded, and flew to just under 6000' on the Kosdon M1130.

 

Allen Overmoe's Chubs' regularly flys over the salt on K550's and K1100's! Think he's a Utah fan?

 

Congratulations are in order for Paul Yarnold who successfully certified Level three. His 54# Smoke pulled 5.7g's and hit 510 mph on its way to 7548' on an M1419 at Danville. When his 14' main chute deployed at 1200' He was in. Nice job Paul!

I keep telling you that those guys on the other coast are nuts :) Richard King has flown his custom Chubsy twice on 98mm M2400 Blue Thunders! Check out the casing on the table. The motor goes up through the bulkplate into the nose cone. The rather "draggy" rocket still hits mach 1 and 9,000'!

Dennis Lappert stand next to his 6" Black Brandt II. The 48# rocket sports a wild purple/green chameleon paint job. Perfect launch and recovery to 6500' on an M1315 for his successful Level Three cert.

Lewis Garrow burned some serious "gas" in his Psycho. The 55# rocket roared to 5300' on an M845 Turbo Hybrid for a perfect Level Three flight.

 

Tap member Bill Davidson watches carefully as Frank and Mary Giorgianni load Frank's beautiful Nike Smoke onto the rail. The 55# rocket flew fast and straight on an M1419 to 6000'. When the big main chute deployed, we had yet anothr member on the L3 team.

Ross and Zach Sternheimer stand next to their newly finished Hojo. This rocket has a 54mm mount and no glass and weighs in at 19# dry. They plan to fly it on K motors.

Gary Cole stands proudly next to his Redstone. Gary plans to fly it on a 54mm J motor real soon.

Mike Barton flew his 56# Honest John on an M1315 to just under 5000'. His SkyAngle freebag system deployed perfectly and another level three'r was born

 

Brian Slogick finally got a chance to put up his Nike Smoke on an M1315. Absolutely picture perfect flight to over 7000' for his L3

Next up was Gene Costanza with his naked Mega Nuk. The 50# rocket ripped off the pad under Blue Thunder M2400 thrust. Oh yeah.......he got his cert

 

Scott Raumberger with yet another awesome flight on his Smoke. This time on a Kosdon M1015 Dirty Harry

 

Darren Wright stands next to his nearly completed stretched Beast. Man that's a big rocket!

Dave Rose did an awesome job on his Chubsy. He had the vinyl lettering made and it looks great. How cool is that ride on a J415!!

 

 

Joel and Kris Mackedenski stand next to their dad 's beautifully finished Mega-Nuk. Barry plans to extend the rocket 24" and fly it next year on a Hypertek M1010 hybrid for his level three.

Burl Finkelstein built this gorgeous Redstone with scale details. He flew it on a J415 to 2500' and even launched it with the tower on! Burl devised a unique system which allows the tower to slip off and recover on its own chute. Great job!
